Sadly, expected. We know what's gonna happen next round vs Rafa.

Judging by the fourth set you would almost think he lost the third set on purpose to get some extra practice in

Ferrer hit some amazing shots here. Losing a tiebreak against a big server is no shame, good that he turned it on in the fourth. Bring on Rafa :yeah:

If you take the fourth set out, Ferrer played very well. But the way he fell apart entirely in the tiebreak, making several horrible errors, is concerning. If he tries to choke against Anderson, can't imagine what he'll do against Nadal. Still, it's a winnable match-up for him and Nadal's Challenger draw might actually hurt him now with the sudden step up to a top ten player.

Yeah... I think Rafa hasn't even faced any Top 50 player in his draw before reaching quarters (which isn't done yet, I know, but I don't expect Lajovic to beat him...)

Ferrer beat Nadal about a month ago and has had him on the ropes and choked to him multiple times before. He is entirely capable of beating Nadal if he plays well
This isn't best-of-3.

4 down, 3 to go.

Ferrer ties Pete Sampras with 10 consecutive GS quarter finals. He will tie Nadal at 11 if he can reach Wimbledon QF.

Couldn't see it, but despite the lost set it seems like it was a walk in the park for David.
Nadal is going down

Last year SpanishTerrier entered the finals without losing a set and still lost it easily.

I expect the same folding in the third set this year if he loses first two sets or in the fourth if he somehow manages to take one, because afterall, Nadal's back has been bothering him and it shall be like national betrayal to bother them more.
