Twitter is not the source, its the medium.

Also, you misinterpreted the tweet.

Nowhere does it say that the French Open are close to cancelled.

It says the start on the 24th is close to being canceled, meaning it would start at a later date.

Something entirely different.

FO is ofc going to be cancelled. France is on the brink of becoming the second Italy. Situation in Spain is also bad.
Who thinks the Covid19 pandemy is going to vanish in 1 month is delusional. It took China 3 months to contain the virus and it is still in quarantine.
And Europe is not China. People took this like a joke and look what happened in Italy.
Health and people are more important than games and money.
Humanity is pretty shaken atm and the recession that will follow the Covid19 will also be Harsh.
So cut the crap with legacies and tennis, i al sure pandemy and solving the economical crisis will prevail.

With the manner things developed over the course of the past few weeks, no one in their right mind at this time, would expect RG, Wimbledon, Olympics, or US Open to happen, this year. They will more likely than not be suspended or cancelled for this year.

The virus is spreading, people are dying, not just in one country or one part of the world, but throughout the world. If this situation continues, the world will enter into recession period. This is the reality. There are many real issues to be dealt with right now. The last thing anyone want to do right now is to get out there and play tennis, before this virus is completely eliminated.

All they have to do to avoid the economic collapse is to friggin legalise Vitamin C by IV.

Millions can die, the world economy can collapse, but everything to preserve the profits of the pharmaceutical cartel.

This is ¨¨** collective lunacy.

People need to take it to the streets.

2 guys playing tennis has no bearing on a virus.

We don't need a crowd.
