Nick :smash:

I hope Feeney didn't also cave
Here's more http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/tennis-player-agreed-to-tank-match-court-told-20141208-122pz8.html

Lindahl and Feeney both retired after the tournaments that Fox betted on.

Too telling.
"The Australian Prosecution has claimed that Fox made $1416 from betting on Lindahl and $2718 on Feeney."

Wtf, he had a fixed match on his hands and he managed to make so little?

from the article you can see that he could bet only on sportingbet and once they saw bit amounts put on a futures matches they closed odds

Do they not have Bet365 in Australia? Even on a futures match, by betting on the sets and everything you can easily pull between 5-10k if done properly

Sportingbet might have been enough for his father (whose account he used).
i´m sure they have 365 there

but in the article only sportingbet was mentioned
maybe he had other accounts in the name of his friends

you dont fix a match to win 1.5-2k
No surprises here. Most people figured it out in the first court meeting held over Fox. Now the court has confirmed the duo. Horrible blight on the sport in Australia. Thankfully both players have retired.

Australia has bet 365 and there might be more to this story, As an offshore betting agency for it would be harder for Australian Police to get their records were as sportsbet have an arrangement for government auditors to probe their accounts.

There may well be more money bet on this game it's just harder for prosecutors to get it or at this stage are not willing to why they chase a bigger fish.

Given the leniency of the fine....

Maybe Mr Fox has been helping Police with other investigations.

It doesn't seem like either player would have done this if they weren't already going to retire. Can't blame them for trying to get some extra cash out of a rather lackluster career, even if it doesn't sound like it would be that big an amount.

Feeney could have had a decent career in doubles, IMO.

I agree with that with Feeney, but not with Lindahl. He came back to the sport in 2013 and had some weird results. Results that would certainly trigger thoughts that he manipulated the results.

I'm glad Lindahl is out of the sport. He's been a nightmare for years. This will hopefully end it once and for all.
