Yes, I hate Xmas and this program sums it up, though it's from 2003 and it's still true.

The whole crass commercialisation of it, bad Xmas carols, the way people are just rushing around even more clueless than usual. People you don't see for ages, then all of a sudden they seem to find you at this time of year.

PS: when i was a kid, i remember "feeling it was christmas" when all you got on TV where hideous cartoon network xmas silly stories

those years are gone.. nowadays cartoons suck and most of that "spirit" is gone forever

i ahvent felt in xmas for a long time

my point: there is no such thing as xmas spirit since.. 100 years or so,.. it is all about getting presents and whoever says it isnt is not being true to themselves :rolls: :p

Christmas "spirit" causes me nausea.

Hope Christians don't take it as an insult.

Saint Valentine's Day "spirit" causes me nausea, too.

I haven't celebrated Christmas since I was 5 and don't plan on ever celebrating it. Jesus was not born on December 25. The Jewish calender is completely different from the calender we use today, and the same numerical day soes not add up. Jesus was born in October. :p Christmas is a pagan 'holy day' that became a commercialized 'holiday'. :wavey: Plus, the day has never added up to me, even when I was young. It's a dead person's birthday, but I give and get presents. Hmmm... that makes plenty of sense, don't it? ;)

I second all of the previous poster's sentiments. Can't wait for January 2008 to come, and not just because of tennis!

Christmas is much like the ATP. With each passing year, more and more bullshit seems to accumulate, and in both cases, it is snowballing worse and worse.

Poundland is my saviour for presents . Christmas is only really cool when you're a kid - it's all bright lights and tearing off wrapping paper, and you actually believe in Santa until some smug twat in school comes in one year and ruins it all :(

I don't like Christmas, I'm not religious and don't like to hear standard wishes without deeper meaning  Maybe I'm too much pragmatical and rational.
