There can still be ties even after the tiebreaking procedures are applied.

EdwardHaney is correct - any players who remain tied at the end of the tournament after all tiebreakers, share the points for the placings they occupy. In the example of the two players tied for 2nd place in this tournament who take up the 2nd and 3rd place slots, you both receive 270 points (Points for 2nd = 300, Points for 3rd = 240, Average = 270) .

In the case for the players who placed 17-28th and the same score, tiebreakers are applied and the following points are awarded:

17th place finisher - 42 points
18th place finishers - split between 2 players, Points for 18th = 40, Points for 19th = 37, Average = 38.5. Both players receive 38.5 points
20th place finishers - split between 5 players, Points for 20th = 34, Points for 21st = 31, Points for 22nd = 29, Points for 23rd = 26, Points for 24th = 23, Average = 28.6. The 5 players receive 28.6 points
25th place finishers - split between 4 players, Points for 25th = 20, Points for 26th = 18, Points for 27th = 15, Points for 28th = 12, Average = 16,25. The 4 players receive 16.25 points
