Dvd was 1 break up in 1st and 3rd sets .... so he should have won before
well done David!!!!!!!! :bounce:
It was a nice match. I don't know which are the final stats, but in the fourth set, Agustín had 78 winners and 70 UE
I wanted Agustín to win, but I'm glad he's back in court after so many injuries and fighting in a five-setter. welcome back :yeah:
Unfortunatelly, Calleri's problem in his leg ruined what could have been the first great match of USOpen this year

Must have been the other way around, 78 UE and 70 winner cause the final stats say this:
91 UE and 72 winners

Yeah, after he started cramping in the fourth set, he was a complete different player, too bad

Yep, it had everything to have an epic end
Phew - I'm glad he won! I just came online when it was 5-1 in the fifth! I'm very glad coz my nerves can't take any more matches like this (and it's only Day 3  )!

Oh cool, they just showed the last game on Eurosport! :yeah:
Well done David!!! :woohoo:
Calleri
Congrats David! :D
I'm gutted.. Augustin really played beautifully in very difficult conditions. Both guys were going for their shots and the UEs are high simply because of the wind. Good luck to Ferrer but I hope Augustin comes back stronger after this.
I'm glad David won - I honestly didn't know what to expect after seeing him completely unravel in the 3rd set vs Lopez at New Haven last week.

Up next: Kucera. Straights sets this time David, por favor!

Is Calleri heading back to clay now? All the best for him.
Well done David! :woohoo:
David is amazing. He's probably the fittest guy on the tour, and most like the best fighter.

:worship:
I agree. David is the forgotten Spaniard. I've thought it that way for almost a year now. Anyways, let's go DAVID!!!
Ugh. Another 5 set loss for Gordo.

If I were u I´d be worried about Dominator´s chances against Ferrer in 3rd round :)
Gordo has put on the beef and got treatment on his thigh in the 4th set and his lack of fitness and matches recently, cost him dearly against the steady Ferrer.

I can say I witnessed a 5 set match that Calleri has won, and yes he is on the list for the last 2 clay events of the year. For once it could be good if he doesn't have niggling injuries.

Well, I'm less than massively thrilled, I'll put it that way. :)

If Dominik plays his game he can beat him on a fast hard court. The big if is, can Dominik keep the fucking ball in the court!? I mean, his loss to Ferrer in Miami was just .... wretched. It was a lot like his recent loss to Safin in Cincy, just disgusting. Dominik losing to Ferrer in Miami can be attributed partly to Ferrer's consistent grinding style, and partly to Dominik just being way off. I just don't 100% know which one contributed more, but perhaps we'll find out sooner or later.

 @ The big if is, can Dominik keep the fucking ball in the court!?

Exactly, that awful match from him in Miami is the one that came up to my mind when I saw the draw and Dominik will need to be inspired in order "to get the fucking ball in court" cause Ferrer´s style is like a nightmare for him
