Buenos Aires: Try to See It My Way

They say a tennis ball can't hurt you. Tell it to Fernando Gonzalez.

During his doubles match on Tuesday, Gonzalez was hit in the eye by a ball. He wound up in the hospital, though it was initially hoped he could play his quarterfinal match. No luck. We still don't know his long-term prognosis -- but he withdrew from the tournament, giving Felix Mantilla a free pass to the quarterfinal.

i hope he's completely better by Roland Garros....

Roland Garros is several months off, so unless he actually fractured his eye, I'm sure that he will be fine by then. I was hoping he would be fine before then so that he could get himself a top 16 seed ...

Yeah, I already knew it. It seemed at first(last Wednesday) that he was almost recovered, because he apparently only had his eye kind of irritated yet, but after he withdrew from his quarterfinal match...well, it seems it's something more serious.

But anyway, I'm sure that if he doesn't go to Roland Garros, won't be due his eye...
