I think they both realised that together they were bigger than individually and embraced their rivalry, becoming friends. Neither is as great without the other one and they both know this.
That’s pretty much it. The emotions are not just about them being friends - i think they are on good terms but it’s not like they’re close buddies.

I think the emotions are are more about what the other person represents:all that sweat and hard work, all the heart aches, and triumphs. They have a long shared history where they’ve pushed each other to the limit and sacrificed everything to outdo each other. But in the end, there’s enormous respect because they had a long epic rivalry that was always mutually respectful.
And for Nadal: he hasn’t retired yet, but I think he feels the end is very near now.

The friendship is definitely exaggerated. You would think they are best mates...

I guess they like and respect one another and have friendly chats every now and then.

As usual, f*gly, disgusting, cringe-worthy scenes at this glorified exho. They all are GOATs .. Acting goats. Meryl would be proud. This event steals attention from real tornaments in this week. Oranges and apples for me. I liked Federer's tennis sure but watching him trying to grow his bussiness bigger than the sport really angers me. And the tards buy this sh*t.

Main takeway: this board is full of stupid kids who fail to see the bigger picture but rather engage in endless idiotic tardwars. Probably most had to endure a defective childhood and deal with their emotional problems by posting nonsense online.
i am so happy I left this shithole years ago! ❤
+ on this take.
Too much losers and people quite unhappy with themselves that vent their frustration trough tennis players and tennis.

There is no ban cleanups so they accumulate 5k-10k+ of posts by posting and posting their repetitive stupid shit.

Came for last Federer topics and after seeing posts there you lose will to open forum again.
It would be same if Djokovic or Nadal were in question, but this problem is not only related to big3 topics.

Open,Close.

Not saying it's wrong, but it isn't normal male behavior. And tbf it's also a special occasion that should draw out some extra emotion than most other situations.
I would not say it’s not normal, as in abnormal. More like it’s not common, as in for certain reasons, men do not display such behaviour often as it’s not “allowed”( without hearing “accusations“ of not being a “real” man.
