I think this is basically a fact. It looked great against stan especially his defense on clay. Fed said something like playing on clay helps you on grass because you hit through your shots and interestingly that playing or practicing too much on grass can actually hurt you.


So fed has gained exactly what he wanted which was baseline play and ongoing rythm heading into grass season which will be a large boost.

I know he played 3.5 hrs but it should be less hard on the body than hard courts especially this being the first match he was pushed a bit might be good for his endurance as well.
