People can't be allowed to jump the gun to this extent.

To the match, I didn't see it but on a slow hardcourt it doesn't surprise me, Mahut's serve was terrible as well and with those two factors against him he doesn't stand a chance. Notably he gave Federer his toughest match before the final at Wimbledon 2006, but that was first week Wimbledon grass.
