Hartfield is one of the worst hardcourt player in the history of this sport. Federer will not lose more than 3 games despite it's his first match of 2008.

Bollocks, it´s not like he´s going to win a set or sth but there are quite a few worse players on hc than Hartfield, at least the guy can serve and hit flat

Hartfield reached QF on carpet last year.

Can you say it about Volandri or Hernandez?

A night match, should help both players ease into the slam without heat issues.

Speaking of which --- they bumped Hewitt off the night match list in favor of Federer. Show your own guys some lurve AO!!!!
On ESPN they said apparently Hewitt asked for a day match.

Thanks Mirka. I wonder why, maybe he feels the conditions suit him better in the day.
Darren Cahill said he requested the day match. Not sure but he'll most likely be on court during the hottest time of the day. And the temp on Tuesday is supposed to be over 90F.
