Sebastien would like it known that he objects to the crying smilie next to his first victory. He would also like to say, "Don't worry, Joachim, we'll get over in doubles this time!"

Semifinal set
Not Fish vs Fish, R vs R

Former world number one and first seeded (because he was the first one to sign up for the tour by waiting the whole week outside the booth), Gustavo Kuerten reaches semifinal, beating a so-so player with a cute coach, Marat Safina from Russiana in straight sets 6-2 6-3. With his current play, Kuerten is set to win his first title this week. A routine win by Kuerten who is really flawless this week. Earlier, he eliminated the finalist last week, Coria in straight sets too. His opponent is apparently a fish who falls in love with a duck. Fish manages to secure her second consecutive semifinal in a row, beat the forth seeded (also not based on rank) Sebastian Grosjean, who worships coins which unfortunately did not take place in the match, in three sets 62 16 75. It's time for Sebastian to do some soul searching in court. He apparently is looking old and ugly according to the survey which was done yesterday. FATP only hires hot players unfortunately. One record to be taken though, Fish was the one who defeated Kuerten last week. Felix the Great predicts that Kuerten will win the tie this week. *crosses finger*

In the second semifinal, it will be a clash between two R-titans. One being Federer and the other one being Gasquet. The R-titans, who captured double title last week and apparently was fluke as they lost to the "we-were-paired-up-suddenly-by-Felix" team, meet for the first time and will fight for a spot in the final. Federer, who will be known as Pornikova-wannabe conquerer, defeated the hottest player on tour, Tommy Haas in three sets 5-7 7-6 7-5. Sadly, Haas will pack his suitcase early this week as the Spice boys team lost miserably to the Spaniard pair Nadal and Moya who were rumoured to be gay partners. Sad for Haas as Sydney will have its new boy crush, Richard Gasquet who is playing solid tennis this week. Lost early in the first round last week, Gasquet shocked everyone, by stating that he's more than just pretty face by beating the last week champ, Marc Kimmich. Today, his victim is Gaudio who is the quitest and sadly the one with no friend. Surprisingly, this match was filled with a little controversy as Grosjean's coin distracted Gaudio and thus, making him to lose the match to Gasquet. Federer is through his second semifinal too, but will he finally reach final? Felix the Great predicts that Gasquet will once again cause an upset and deny Federer's first final.

In the double competition, the hot favourite title has shifted to Grosjean and Johansson as Felix the Great noticed that they are the only team that had strategy coming to the match. However, watch out for the Fish and Duck team. Fish follows whatever Duck's doing. Last week champs and runner up, as we know, has tumbled out early in the first. Were they just a fluke? Nevertheless, the Spice Boys team should start winning again next week, or the title will be taken away. SADLY.
