Well done to Cipolla for reaching his first ATP quarter-final :). I think that he had only played in 3 tour level matches before this week.

He was 2-4 down in the third set against Roger-Vasselin yesterday, how fortunes change.

Wow none of u guys no nothing about the match, Simon broke his ankle while serving to stay in the set
Do you know for sure he badly injured his ankle? Or are you just saying "you guys don't know what happened, maybe Simon broke his ankle"?

By following the match on the scoreboard, it looked like a player already took a medical time-out one game ago, so it was probably Simon, but he played one more game after that and then retired.

It's rather more understandable that a player retires one game from defeat if it's his turn to serve, that can aggravate an injury far more than just walking side to side and getting aced. Simon could have been Davydenko's only obstacle in the bottom half, given that he beat him twice last year including on clay at Umag.
