Nadal was way past his prime in 2017 plus that's just one good season by Fakerer. Also Australian Open was 5 sets far from easy and that's not even close to the best vision of Federer.
It's funny how this was the 1st time in TEN years that Federer beat Nadal in a slam meeting, and he barely did it in 5 sets, and Federer fans actually dare to brag about it. So pathetic. lol

I would also Add Federer had to wait until Nadal hit his 30s and way past his prime. before Federer was finally able to have Good season against him.

LOL. Even Leylah Fernandez has gotten 100 times more coverage, more cheering and more tennis fans support than Djokovic and his quest for the calendar slam. That's why you are always so defensive and attack everyone else, it's because you feel deep down inside that nobody cares about Djokovic and that he will always be in the shadow of Fedal. I mean today people were cheering for ZVEREV more than Djokovic. lol That would never happen if Zverev was playing Fedal, NEVER! lol They are iconic legends and will forever be at a whole other level than Djokovic. People react to Djokovic with 'Meh whatever'.
Are you sure? 🤔

Nadal owned a Mono Fed in 2008*.. never beaten a a good Fed off clay ...And 2009 aO was Fed's one of the worst serving performance in a slam final..Maybe only 2nd to uso09 final
Even in 2007 baby grass Nadal pushed Federer to 5 sets at Wimbledon. Also baby hardcourt Nadal beat Federer starting with their first ever meeting in 2004. Stop being in denial. lol

Federer is 3rd best after GOATdal and Laver. (y)

It is odd that one Masters 1000 which Federer was already behind on would make him jump ship, so to speak.
It would also be 7th Year End #1, weeks at #1 that have continued to go way past Federers now, breaking masters record, and taking revenge against Medvedev showing yet again that he still can hold his own against todays top players.

@Texas Tennis Fan & @Ogi45 -- another reason possibly is seeing Novak's versatility -- he was able to use serve and volley effectively today against an opponent which can be troubled with it. Shows Novak can play a style which is not natural to him also very well -- he can do everything!

That one five years ago is pretty bad. Firstly I would never make a both genders list. Secondly, if I did....why is Federer in 1st with 17 slams and Evert in 10th with 18? It's not like he's won more than her outside the slams. If you look at the sheer numbers the list should have been 1 Court 2 Navratilova 3 Evert 4 Graf....so there must be a female discount. Exactly how big is it? Difficult to say when they botch up the female order as well, clearly a recency bias here.

It's funny to see McEnroe (John) and Brad Gilbert in a debate .. and to see Mc's face when Gilbert gives his opinion.

All that's missing is Bill Scanlon or Vince Van Patten .. for him to launch a "you can't be serious" 😅
For both its anyone but Federer specially Gilbert. I wouldn't be surprised if Gilbert has an account on tennis forums as his arguments are like that. I've always found him goofy.
