Among outstanding and dominant players there were quite a few cases when early domination by one player was balanced by later domination by the other player.

Like Evert was dominating Navratilova in early years, but then the tables were turned. Serena and Venus.. Pete/Andre, but only partly, because head-2-head tendency did stay where they were, but the GS count tendencies did change..

Any other examples?

Safin and Guga is one that springs to mind; Safin won their first three matches including that classic victory when Kuerten was defending champion at RG in 98, but since then Kuerten has taken the last four matches including a straight-sets win at last year's US Open.

Hewitt and Sampras is also another pertinent example; I believe Sampras was once 4-1 up in head-to-heads against Hewitt but the Potato has won the last four and now leads 5-4 in matches played.
