Lalo fought well but the only mistake he made (DF at BP at 4-4 in the 2nd) cost him big time

I can't stand the dude, but congrats to Andy.

But enough about him.

Feli has nothing to be ashamed of. And anyone who says otherwise is a jackass. His confidence should be so high leaving Dubai. Neither Nadal nor the Djoke took a single set off of Roddick. Feli wasn't even supposed to be in the final. He wasn't supposed to get past the first round! He beat 3 top ten players in a row, the last being top 5. And he played a good match. Impressed the hell out of me, and I'm a fan of his. Those net skills he displayed in the 1st and most of the 2nd set - amazing. He was putting on a clinic. And he wasn't hitting as many UE's as he usually does. If just a few things had gone differently, he'd be the champion. He never gave up. That hasn't been the case in the past. I am so proud of him. And I hope he's proud of himself. Wherever Albert Costa is, I'm sure he's proud as hell. This is why he took on the task of coaching Feli.

Great performance from him, and the crowd certainly appreciated it. He's got some new fans, that's for sure.

Good match :) Amazing tournament for Roddick, deserved win, his service was extraordinary throughout the week.

lopez would have had the title if he'd kept on coming into the net, particularly off his bh slice. in the second set it seemed like he inexplicably forgot the tactic that won him the first set

the duck has been very solid all week but i was really impressed with the way lalo played too bad he kinda missed his chances in 2. set.

this match reminded me a lot of Lopez playing Federer in New York last year

on both occasions Lopez played incredible for roughly 1,5 sets, but then he lost it (not meaning he played bad, but just not good enough to really challenge Roddick/Federer)

still a very good week for him and of course for Roddick as well :)
