Salisbury/Skupski with another poor loss in straights to King/Harrison 4-6 4-6

Skupski was horrible, got broken three times.

I'm sort of puzzled by this, but I guess they just don't mesh well.

Skupski is really not a very good doubles player in my books. He has attracted partners that are a fair bit better than him (Koolhof and Salisbury). But losing to Evan King is pretty dire, that's true. I do like Christian Harrison though; I think he can rise a lot more.

Krawietz/Pütz lose to Cash/Glasspool in Rotterdam. Nice revenge for the AO QF.

I really liked watching Zielinski and Hsieh Su-Wei last year in mixed.

It was a good final, I thought. Gille played better than earlier in the week; Zielinski maybe a bit less.

It was a fun final, especially the second set and mtb. Zielinski had a lot of nearly missed returns, clipping net cord several times.

Extremely impressive, all the way from qualification, didn't drop a single set. Until the final didn't even have to play a tiebreak. I don't know where they got this level from but it's nice to see.

In just their second ATP Tour event as a team, Christian Harrison and Evan King earned glory on Sunday. The Americans defeated Uruguayan Ariel Behar and American Robert Galloway 7-6(4), 7-6(4) to win the Dallas Open.

Curious they went from Montpellier to Dallas and back to Marseille instead of playing Rotterdam. Did Krajicek screw Arends in an earlier edition by giving Sels a WC over him or something ?

He has received WCs in the past in Rotterdam. I think going to Dallas was quite smart (weaker field), but then he should have gone for Delray Beach, obviously.

Impressed with Kecmanovic that he is still playing the doubles. Fran Cerundolo pulled out of the doubles SF in Buenos Aires. I hate it when players do that.
