HOw many of you think that there will be more scandal in 2008 to come for tennis. That Hingis mess was a big bombshell and blow to tennis in my opinion and with the gambling scandal that is also a major blow for tennis in my opinion. But how many of you think that there are bigger scandals to come out for tennis or more accusations to come out for tennis in 2008. Lets know your opinion. What do you think? who do you think? and etc. and please be serious with your comments. Thanks All of course are in your opinion.

I dno but both of these will have lasting effects on both tours. You see after the betting scandal came to light they started looking at the womens matches and found unusual betting patterns between players outside of the top 50 in a tier 3 tournaments. I dno if they'll be anything new but they're definatly not going away anytime soon.

Agree, the girl has just been partying a little too much I gather - and this was a perfect excuse to quit her already fading career. IF anything of it is true, btw.
Scandals in tennis?
I remember Wilander having taken coke as well, I remember Noah having stood on a bridge in Paris ready to commit suicide, I remember Borg's post-career depressions and the mess he got himself into, I remember Becker getting stuck in a closet with a groupie with the expected results to follow, and I'm sure I've been forgetting quite a lot of other 'scandals' here... :lol:
In other words: no, it will be as it has always been. Players are mere HUMANS, don't forget that. So-called 'scandals' have always been there and always will be - it won't at all mean anything to the sport in the end.
Or perhaps if Mr. Disney comes up with one of his 'splendid' ideas again - that just MIGHT change it all.

Obviously hingis retiring is a blow to womens tennis as she wa sone of the most popular and best players but for mens tennis i dont think so. Unless she like blames sexy
o). The mach fixing is a big blow for both tours though.
