Tiafoe has sort of hit a ceiling with with Wayne Ferreira.

He certainly has helped him in the overall game and a bit of mental toughness. But something is still missing from Tiafoe's game that is stopping him from becoming in the Medvedev / Alcaraz tier at a bare minimum.

He technically can hit any shot in the book and can be clutch when things are looking down. But there is that little 10% that he needs .

What do you think? Should he get a new coach and if so, who?

Ferreira is a smart coach, and I remember him well as a player too.
Tiafoe was lucky this match went as long as it did.
Fact is he was trying to hit through a wall in Medvedev.
It was not tennis IQ as to why he lost, he just has to improve marginally on each aspect of his game.

Completely disagree, he’s making incremental improvements every year and Ferreira has kept him disciplined. This six month stretch has been the best of his career.
Yeah he has been playing superb tennis in comparison to two years ago.

Just wonder if there is something more.

You can never completely change a mental midget.

He will always be a headcase.

he would need a trainer for his technique skills. he has an amateurish style and seems very unskilled and misses talent. looking at his lacks his atp ranking is extremely well - so the trainer probably has done his job right.

I guess the question is what needs to be changed to bring him to the next level?

Since the coaching situation is solid.

He really is over achieving at the moment. He really has no business being in the semis of a major or Masters but here he is. So Wayne has been doing something right with him.
Exactly. The OP says "Every shot in the book". Sorry but that forehand is FUGLY .. and still works
