He may well repeat his 2011 in terms of GS won but few (sane) people would argue his tennis was much better in 2011 than now in 2015.

I'd go with AO 2011. His level then was incredible and you'd struggle to see more consistently penetrative and powerful groundies off both wings as Novak back then. He was very fortunate to win AO 2012 & AO 2013 but there was no fortune with AO 2011.

The top four for me are:

1. AO 2011
2. USO 2011
3. Wimbledon 2011
4. RG 2015

He was very good in RG 2015 and that performance would have beaten anyone on that day bar Stan. Stan was just incredible that day.

His run at the AO 2011 is overrated imo, he played better at WIM and USO that year. Fed and Murray played horrible at the AO11 against Djokovic.

Djokovic is a better player this year and I don't understand why everyone else on here doesn't see it. There was a great improvement in his game from 2010 to 2011 but he is a better and more complete player now. Still, in the 2011 US Open, his level was amazing. RG 2015 he was awesome until the 3rd set against Murray. The matches against Nadal and Kokkinakis in particular were at a crazy level. In the Final, he did not play aggressive at all and paid the price.

Top 5

1. US Open 2011
2. Wimbledon 2015
3. Australian Open 2008
4. Australian Open 2011
5. Wimbledon 2011

Novak Wimbledon 2015 is quite a bit better than Wimbledon 2011 - his serve/volleys and mental strength is vastly improved.

Federer played well in AO 2011 SF, i watced that match at least 5 times. Murray OTOH, did play badly.

Nothing beats USO2011 final in terms of level. His forehands were freaking crazy and the quality of shots during rallies was very high.

In terms of entire tournament runs Wimb2015 had some great game-play even though some matches were tougher to win than e.g. AO2011. So I don't think domination should be equated with level of play, but the most dominant slam is easily AO2011. W2015 could quite possibly be one of the calmest slams Novak won - not much drama in the semi or final as it usually happens.

Although he came closing to losing to Federer, I think his USO 2011 was the most impressive, both physically and mentally. The way he dismantled Nadal in the final was jaw dropping.

US Open 2011 final. Nadal threw everything at Djokovic that day and still wasn't even close to winning the match. Some brutal rallies were out of this world.

AO 2011/RG 2011/Wim 2011. Djokovic's peak lasted till the Canadian Masters 2011. His peak dropped from Cincy imo and from there on he was winning more on his mental edge rather than his playing level.

His level in Aussie 2008 is underrated imo. He only lost one set in route to the title and that was in the Final. He only lost one set in 2011 as well but Troicki retired in the 2nd set in the 3rd round.

I agree with this. His form at AO 2008 is underrated. He was at Novak 2.0 level for that tournament.

The best I've seen Novak play was at the 2013 USO final, but Nadal was in God mode.

You mean the Novak who mentally checked out in the 4th set? Please tell me you're joking.

I agree. But in 2015 he's far more superior mentally. Also fix your signature, it's a little outdated ;)
