John McEnroe claimed that Nadal had the hardest draw of any of the top guys so far before the match started today.

Going from the rankings on tennislive.com, these are the combined ranking of the opponents the 'big 4' have played so far.

Nadal - Klizan (51) Rosol (52) Kukushkin (63) Kyrgios (144) = 310

Federer - Lorenzi (83) Muller (103) Giraldo (35) Robredo (22) = 243

Murray - Goffin (105) Rola (92) Bautista-Agut (23) Anderson (18) = 238

Djokovic - Golubev (56) Stepanek (38) Simon (44) Tsonga (17) = 155

If Djokovic wins beating Stepanek, Tsonga, Cilic, Murray and Federer it would arguably be his greatest slam win when you take the surface into consideration.

Nadal's was exceptionally hard for him personally, but objectively speaking Djokovic's is tougher. Then a big gap to Murray and finally Federer whose run to the final is going to prove great amunition in years to come when Fedtards complain about Nadal's USO draws...

Federer joke draw, meanwhile: Lorenzi - Muller - Giraldo - Robredo Wawrinka- Raonic/Kyrgios..

One of Murray and especially Djokovic will be more deserving if they come through that top half..

Nadal's draw was the easiest – on paper.

Johnnie Mac is an idiot – in reality. Now it would be time to get to some psychiatry and get an official paper about it. :D

If Rafa had draw Muller people would have said 'he's more dangerous than Darcis, Klizan and Rosol'.
But of course, he draws Federer then it's a joke draw.
Wawrinka it's also a joke, Raonic and Kyrgios are also jokes.

Feds had the easiest draw so far of all the top 4 seeds and it's not even close.

Nadster would have lost the first set against Muller and Golubev had he drawn them and most likely would have had to Spartan out another win. The problem wasn't the draw as much as it was his struggles on the grass. This green clay myth just keeps taking hammer blows.

Strength of the draw has to be calculated in reverse for Nadal on grass. The lower the rank of the opponent, the greater the danger.
In sum, his draw was brutal.

Federer had a very tough draw before start of wimbledon .. he could have face benneteau in 2nd round and Janowicz in 4th round.. both have the strength to beat federer..

how can it be federer's fault if these guys exit sooner ??

anyways... federer having the toughest quarterfinal of all... with the Stanimal... even now if you call this a joke draw... :wavey:

I wouldn't use these rankings to determine the toughness of the draw, especially on grass. E.g. Kyrgios (144) endep up as a harder opponent than Robredo (22).

Djokovic without doubt has the hardest draw this time.
