Djokovic is dominating Masters 1000 and "little tournaments" a lot more than Slams which seems kind of odd considering his high percentage, consistent game.

Is Djokovic's game more suited for bo3 format or do the agressive players, who managed to beat him in Slams in recent years (Federer, Wawrinka, Nishikori) , prefer bo5 because it gives them more time to get into rhythm and dominate the play?

Is there a third option?

If Djokovic virtually skipped half the season like Nadal and Sampras used to, or Stanimal nowadays, then he might be better at winning the slam finals.

No one was that good, so far, to win 14+ slams, 30+ masters and 5+ WTFs.

Fedalovic is close to win 45-50 big titles each, though, Sampras and Borg are far behind at 30, 28 and at slam/masters finals too.

It's a huge difference to finish with 20-40 more slam+masters+WTF finals in career than Sampras or Borg, 'cause finals don't grow on trees either.

Good point.

I said it on here a few weeks back, Djokovic was exhausting himself mentally with all these matches and wins in M1000. Djokovic should have been racking up slams in this era for the last couple of years (could be much difficult from now on with the resurgence of Murray).

Djokovic is a bad match up for Murray. They're basically very similar players with Djokovic having more variety and consistency. Murray will have to take his game to another level if he plan beating Djokovic regulary, IMO.

The switch from BO5 to BO3 at masters also explains why players are able to dominate more than in the past. M1000 were more difficult to win before.
