Also interesting to note that Djokovic is struggling to beat Federer at Wimbledon (Federer had multiple championship points last year).
So maybe Djokovic is declining everywhere, and at the AO where Thiem led Djokovic 2-sets-to-1 this year in the Final.
Or are these results happening because Nadal is improving on clay, and Federer is improving on grass and Thiem on hardcourt?
