Let's go get grass back to 90's standard and we'll talk. He has proven nothing with the changes Wimbledon made with seeding type. I'd love for the Wimbledon to get back to 70/30 ratio of seeding. Make it fast and wear out grass faster after one week. If you see the grass still being green during the championship match, you know that it's slow and they hang in the baseline where you see the dust bowl at the baseline area.
Let's go back to the wooden rackets and let's talk? What's the point of all of this? Players are adapting to their own eras - to the conditions and the technologies. It is not easy in any era. The conditions make the players not reverse. And by the way grass in 90's especially in the second half was the most boring thing I have watched. They made incredible rackets and as a result we got the bombers - the big servers - only - serve, serve, serve and serve. I am not talking about players like Sampras, Agassi and others who had their own styles and beauty, I am talking about the whole tournament when you sit to watch matches from the 1-st rounds and you watch only serving motions. That is why the public itself wanted to change the grass in order to watch a little bit of rallies.

If only Novak would be that sort of player, he would be some Bautista Agut. But he is in fact one crazy cyborg-playstationovic angle-maker. His game on ff looks sick, from every position he can hit anywhere.
Look at his movement. For 95% of the time, it's horizontal.

That's not all-court tennis. It's one-dimensional tennis along the x-axis.

well, from every position on the baseline anyway

Yeah, right.. 95%... Besides, there's one more thing. Maybe his drop shot isn't the best in the game, but he uses it very often. More then Fedal, tha's for sure. And after ds you are going forward.

And yeah, Bella. From every position. Every damn position! That's Djokovic we are talking about.

Who cares today (beside Fedtards) about the overrated "all court" tennis? Unless we introduce the style points in this sport, it's all about effectiveness no matter if it's 100% baseline. As the matter of fact, even if we talk about aesthetics, the high level baseline tennis is objectively more exciting and eye pleasing than servebotting + net-rushing.

Yeah, shuttling along the baseline, the very occasional drop shot when very safe, the occasional foray to the net when very obvious chance arises, but 95%+ of the time shuttling reactively along the baseline.

There'll never be style points, but most people will nonetheless prefer attacking, all-court tennis. Hence Federer's popularity. It's really very simple, and if Djokovic fans understood it, they would have no need for wacky conspiracy theories about the western media.

Tell us what is more important objectively - playing for majority of people or playing effectively to win?

btw, media and sponsors did use Fed's weak era domination and presented him and his play style as someone / something classy, premium, superior etc, and majority of people liked it and bought it - it's almost like being a Fed's fan makes you better than all other "peasants". This is why many of them disliked baby Rafa - because he dared to play differently and deny Fed from total domination at 1st, and then latter completely overcoming him and ruining Fedtards' fantasy. Similar applies to Djokovic.

LoL "people"... can put it in any sentence actually.

People talk crap every day.
People are usually envious.
People get nasty STDs all the time.

....and so on.

So you never saw guys like Edberg or McEnroe play? Both consummate S&Vers in their own way, and, for many fans, highly entertaining. Mac’s antics notwithstanding. One major reason they were great to watch is that both had relatively returnable serves so the receiver could usually get balls in play even on the old, super-fast grass.

Of course, the best matchups were those with contrasting styles, McEnroe-Borg and Sampras-Agassi for example. It’s too bad they can’t find a court/ball speed that gives roughly equal chances of being successful to both styles.

This is because the grass courts are slow as shit now. Djokovic would have no chance on real grass. Next gen will definitely follow this though since this is what wins these days and the next gen players are all solid off the baseline with a solid serve but not much else.
Check who reached the final in 2016 and 2018, check who reached the semis in 2018, 2014 and 2013, and now imagine if the grass was faster. With today's players the game would be very ugly on a very fast grass, it's better to have it medium paced even though last year was too slow I agree.

Raonic and Dimitrov are good on grass but Anderson has a shit net game and I’ll never be able to explain how Federer lost to him.

There were times when watching fed fans squirm and whine, list excuses after excuses in hopeless desperation, was fun and entertaining. It's not anymore. Now it's the grass they blame. What's next? I just can't anymore. It's so sad.
