With how things are looking, both Nadal and Federer past their best, Murray still not back, Djokovic is primed to spend every single week of 2015 as the #1 ranked tennis player in the world. If he stays healthy, I cannot see anyone else who has the same consistency on all surfaces as Nole has.

Djoker wins so many matches so easily that he hardly breaks a sweat. With his stretching regimes he is hardly ever injured. And now being a husband and a father, his home life is set and he can focus entirely on tennis and raising his level of GOATness.

Will Djokovic spend every week of 2015 as #1 in the world?

Quite obviously very likely to happen.

He's winning the Aussie and French back to back and he'll cut in with his fair share of masters 1000's and probably take the world tour finals again.

Nishikori will end the year world no3 and the top 2 will stay the same.

It seems likely, but then it also appeared likely at the start of 2012 (probably the year he really should have done it) and 2013. He is clearly the most consistent player in racking up points and the man to beat for all the big tournaments, but he needs to win slams to make sure no one passes him even temporarily.

Nadal is gone, Fed will only get older, Novak's real competition for GS are Murray and to some extent Kei but they are hardly consistent force all year. #1 spot is a lock for 2015.
Novak has AO and RG for sure, and most likely USO, why not repeat W and get the CYGS. I see no reason why not apart from some freak injury but we know he is invincible. Whatever he is eating or sleeping in.

Seems pretty likely given he wins masters for fun, picks up points on all surfaces, and never gets injured. The only negative in points-gathering terms is he's only won 3 of the last 12 slams (and if he fails at this coming AO that's 2 of 12, starts to look pretty ugly for a #1). He still makes finals typically though.

Ultimately, who else is it going to be? Nadal's body is falling apart, and he'll probably reduce his schedule and/or ambition significantly to cope. Federer has only made 3 slam finals from the last 16, and won just one. Murray is never going to be consistent enough, and the younger players are still not remotely a threat.

Novak if injury free may make no.1 as easy as ever, but no slam will be easy for him this year because draws like at the last Wimb. and USO were not coincidence.

Sponsors do not gamble with hundred million of dollars just like that, money they are likely to lose without Fedal in the finals or semis.

I think it's too early to say that.

I'm not writing Nadal off at all. He was a bit rusty and missing some shots he normally doesn't miss. He'll rule the clay again and probably gain confidence.

Murray is looking much better than last year. His forehand has improved enormously and he knows what it is to win the big prizes.

Federer we haven't seen yet. He defends so few points during the clay that he could pass Novak there.

And that's without mentioning Nishikori and other players eager to make a mark.

Nothing would make me happier than Novak retaining the #1 ranking from beginning to end, but I'm not counting my chickens. The season is very long... Almost as long as the off-season. :D

It´s possible because of the reasons most have stated above.

But Roger Federer can steal a few weeks in the right circunstances. Rafa Nadal has the least amount of points to defend after Aussie Open.

Murray seems to look good.

I give Djokovic 75% right now. We haven´t seen Roger and just one match from Nadal.
