Hey guys,
are there any tennis leagues online,
or just tennis partner lists...

I'd like to explore the options.

Do you play any league/ladders ?

Good serve. Good net game. Decent but not great forehand. Very questionable backhand

Much better doubles player than singles

I have been improving dramatically over the past 3 months!

Gotten up to maybe a 4.5 to 5.0 level USTA, minus my 3.0 serve...

Unfortunately I rolled my ankle going for a forehand and have been in immense pain with my foot and will probably be unable to play or do anything active for a few months.

It sucks because I have started peaking and was about to sign up for some competitive tournaments. Wish me a speedy recovery.

Yesterday, after about 15 apparances, I won my first match in local amateur league. I did snatch some sets before, and won one doubles match.

I should be really happy but the truth is, my opponent was really poor. He couldn't get in position properly, served badly, really no pressure on me. But I guess I didn't choke at least

Unfortunately, I lost the following matches - first set was close in all of them, then after the disappointment of it I was losing second sets rather meekly(sets are first to 10 points). I need to work on that, and on my return game. I was trying to be agressive and take it inside the baseline, but my reflexes are rather poor and I mistimed many of them. Opponents had decent second serves too which I guess didn't help.

Nice video. Looks fairly solid. Very extreme backhand grip 🙂

I thought only my country had those shit astro courts

Played in high school and considered playing at the Division III level in college. I just play some USTA tournaments and hit for fun now. When I practice consistently, I'm a 4.0 for USTA but finding the time to practice consistently is tough.

I played my friend last night. I won the first set 6-4.

I was serving for the 2nd at 5-4, 40-0. I then lost thirteen straight points to lose 5-7. It was the most inexplicable thing that had ever happened to me  I couldn't hit a FH to save my life.

3rd set: Of course he broke me in my first service game, but I broke back (thank God) and won the set 6-4 or something.

Back to 4.0-4.5 level. Serve is even better, groundies are looking good, as is my fitness. I can track down balls better than Nadal.

Can even keep up with 5.0 people.

Playing tennis must be the best thing on earth.
