0 km Jan Ullrich arrives 42" behind today's stage winner Cadel Evans. That's another 30" that he's lost on yellow jersey Levi Leipheimer...

0 km Danilo Di Luca comes home over a minute off the pace. Disappointment for the Italian who made his team work so hard for him in the wind up to the finish today...

Ullrich needed Kloden this tour.

Stage 4, his team mates burnt out at the start of the last HC climb. Today, he had no team mates around him. Someone like Leipheimer had a team mate with him both occasions.

The loss of Vinokourov during the tour didn't help things either.

All I can say is the addition of Rogers and Sinkewitz to T-Mobile next year with Ullrich and Kloden in the drivers seat, we will see Ullrich win a few tours and one day events.

Yes - he completes our team for the TTT. TTT in next years Tour de France, T-Mobile will win which will give Ullrich an advantage.

Sinkewitz will be the new team captain after Ullrich I think we'll find.

Rogers is only 26, and he did quite well in the overall classification last year.

I would also expect Kloden to lead after Ullrich, he is a solid rider.

14:01 SUNDAY RACE RE-CAP: Cadel Evans took stage seven atop the Feldberg in a day that saw Jan Ullrich lose almost 30" to yellow jersey Levi Leipheimer. Australian Evans (Davitamon-Lotto) broke clear of a leading group of five riders with 500 metres to go to take a sweet victory ahead of Jorg Jaksche and Fabian Jeker.

14:10 Two days before the denouement of the Tour of Germany, Jan Ullrich finds himself in a familiar position: In second place, behind a certain American. This time, however, the American is named Levi Leipheimer and Ullrich, for his part, believes that overall victory is still within his grasp.
