Can't blame De Bakker for accepting the wildcard. Tournament director however should have known better by giving a young Dutch guy or a top player a chance instead of one of the biggest failures in men's tennis.

Since he's clearly very talented. Reaching 1 in juniors and winning junior Wimbledon can happen to more players that fail, but his breakthrough season in 2010 showed huge potential with three consecutive R3's in Slams and several matches won in masters. He ruined all of it with a gambling and alcohol addiction.

What's left of him now is not much, tennis-wise.
