How much longer will people try to downplay his obvious improvement and status as a player?
Still his biggest weapon is taking the ball early, which is never as exciting as hitting the ball really hard. How much longer will people try to downplay his obvious improvement and status as a player?
We are also talking about a player who double-bageled Berdych once. Goffin's a pretty solid top 10 mainstay.Goffin isnt much of a player. We are talking about a player whom Cecchinato beat by 9 (nine) games and Ebden could have finished in under 23,5 games (BO5) if he wanted...
I remember Dodig taking a look at his coach to ask for a permission to bagel the lad. No permission given and the match ended 6-2 6-2 Dodig.
FFS, its Goffin. Not anyone relevant.
Muffin was playing TOP10 level between Halle and USO, rest of his season was mainly a letdown. We are also talking about a player who double-bageled Berdych once. Goffin's a pretty solid top 10 mainstay.
Yes but in Belgium, we are also a bit tired of his excuses. 2 years ago, he said that DC needed a change as it was taking too much of him (I understand as we reached the final in 15 and 17 and he had then very long seasons), and now that we have a new format, and must play only one (or 2 weeks) the year, he arrived non prepared and saying after his first match, that matches in the best of threes were not good for him, and that he preferred the old format, in the best of five, so he had more time to develop his game and could start "slowly". He is really difficult to understand sometimes.David himself said that he wasn't well prepared to this tournament. He had horrible slow start yesterday again and it was too late in come back in the end.
