Nishioka onto his 2nd ATP250 final (Shenzhen 2018 - W) with the very Nishioka-like scoreline. Joined Top 50 with this win, I think.

Humbert was toying with Nishioka in the 1st set, but the rain break... actually, the first rain break didn't change a whole lot, but Nishioka did start serving better. It's not as if he would win a lot of free points off his 1st serve anyway, but needless to say, serving well means a whole lot more than simple stats for a tennis player.

And then, Nishioka very clearly changed his tactics, and Humbert was suddenly unable to string more than a few good shots together. He couldn't attack when he should've, made a reckless UE when he should've defended. After the 2nd rain break, Nishioka was already knocking on the door hard and relentless, while Humbert screaming "Go away!"

Naturally he didn't go away, robbed Humbert of all of his belongings, and all that was left in the room was a little bagel.

Nishioka is usually crap against a big server, but let's hope it will be a fun final at least.
