What a meltdown from John

Make an overhead/smash

Good composure by Evans after taking the lead, especially in the 3rd set.

I hope for Mackie or Radu to win the tournament now.

Made it look easy in the last couple of sets, Isner wasn't really interested in competing in rallies today.

Amazing for Evans to make the final and possibly get his first title against Albot or MacDonald!

106 in the world in the live rankings.

86 if he wins the lot.

Evans virtually bagelled Isner after being down 3-6 2-2 winning 7 games in a row... not often you see that against Isner! Evans played great and really smart, Isner was truly shocking completely lost the plot mentally.

Can see Dan being British number one by time Wimbledon rolls around, that would be quite a story considering his last 18 months. A few more good hardcourt tournaments and he's in top 50.

Does anyone know if he's taking part in the Indian Wells challenger?

Edit: Sorry misread the starting number. If he wins final he gets in automatically for the main event.

Isner's non-serve game (volleys included) is the worst it's been in 10 years in 2019 so far.
Well Isner also started 2018 poorly before he won Miami. Who knows?

Destroying one opponent after another, winning 7 games in a row against Isner, tennis looks far to easy for Dan the Man atm.

I had decided to follow the result on Flashscore and only turn Tennis TV on to watch the tie breaks...but they never came. Great week for Evans, hope he can finish business and take the title.

Didn’t think he’d get anywhere near the top 100 again and yet after 10 months he’s almost there not bad at all and not to forget that in these times of giants on tour this is a great effort for a shorter guy!

Isner is done. About time. Only a declining serve bot is a good serve bot. Shame the Opunka is ready to take over for the next decade.

He's supposed to play the challenger - he's in the draw and not even seeded there:
http://www.protennislive.com/posting/2019/7851/mds.pdf

For the main event the ranking date was 2019/1/21, so he didn't get in directly, will have to qualify.
Are ranking entry deadlines really that early? Thought it would be late Feb given the tournament dosen't start until early March.

Give him a WC or something, if he wins today he'll have rose nearly 100 places in a month. Should be some encouragement for players who are playing well like that rather than give wild card to someone like Donald Young who'll probably bomb out first round.

How Donald Young gets treated so well by tennis authorities I don’t know, his attitude in most matches I’ve watched is disgusting.

Losing to Evans is a true embarrassment for Isner. He is playing poorly, for his standards, this year.
