Not exactly the toughest opposition, but it seems Robby may finally be healthy. This is definitely a big step up from winning four games against Alex Bogdanovic in AO qualies. It seems like a solid performance with Robby only losing 6 points on serve and never facing a break point in this 45 minute affair.

He's got a great chance to get to the quarters with either Dudi Sela or Mike Russell in the second round.

Even for Montcourt's standards, it was a shameful effort. Losing 8 games in a row, almost all to 0 or 15, the whole 2nd set in hardly 15 minutes... He's not THAT bad.
Good for Ginepri, but I wouldn't read anything into it - except that he seems to be healthy again indeed.

Montcourt isn't any kind of a big deal, but it's true that Ginepri manages to struggle even against the poor players. Well yeah, he can make the quaters.

:secret: He doesn't respond to Bobby or Bob, that's his roommate.

Good for him to get a win of any kind, but he needs to do a heck of a lot more than that, especially in the next two months with all these tournaments in the US.

I am not sure if this result tells us more about Ginepri or about Montcourt.
