Juan Martin del Potro continued his preparation for his comeback to the ATP World Tour Saturday with his second practice session at the Apia International Sydney. The defending champion had a gentle 30-minute session with coach Franco Davin on Ken Rosewall Arena in the early afternoon, following his first session on Friday.

Wearing a thin black support on his left arm that ran from his wrist to his elbow, del Potro hit three-quarter-pace forehands and backhands from Davin’s gentle mid-court feeds.

The Argentine, who played just 10 matches last season, has not competed since withdrawing midway through his first-round match in Dubai in late February. Del Potro, whose Emirates ATP Ranking has fallen to No. 135, withdrew from this week’s Brisbane International.

Del Potro has been drawn to face Ukraine’s Sergiy Stakhovsky in the opening round, with the winner to face top seed Fabio Fognini.
Del Potro hits 3/4 speed Forehand only reaching 100mph. Ranks 135, but problem can definitely not be found. Either way, tennis needs you now more than ever Del Po.

Let's hope he routines all the mugs in Sydney :)

It is funny that he injured his left hand but not his right hand which makes his FH ballbashing so strong
