Big win for JCF considering his AO disaster.

This could well be his last Davis Cup tie. Going out with a BANG!

 :woohoo: :woohoo:

JC came back twice from a break down, in the 3rd and 5th set. Great man, great resolve! :hearts:

Kukushkin was *4-0 in the third I think. :haha:

Seems like an awful match. Not a fan of the Spanish DC team but I like Juan so good that he won. :)

Disasterous choke by Kuku in the third. He had *40, but lost one break when he thought Ferreros high return wouldn't go over the net. At 42 *4015 he casually smacked a high putaway volley in the net while jogging to his chair. Then he missed to easy second serve returns at 43 3015*. At 65 300* he missed 4 straight returns off Ferreros 3/4 first serves.

He also led atleast 31* in the fifth. Couldn't bare following the match after the third and only checked the scoreboard.

Re: Ferrero def Kukushkin 6-1 4-6 7-6 4-6 6-4

Too sensible gloryhunter
No surprise at all though.
A Verdasco fan is really the furthest thing from a gloryhunter

JCF's Davis Cup record:

18-7 overall
18-6 singles
18-3 clay singles

Though I have to admit, vast majority were at home against low ranked opponents.

If you didn't watch the match, why posting?

Kukushkin was very good. No one expected him to take JCF to 5 sets. Very enjoyable match,
He wasn't very good..... he played an injured old powerless JCF and choked at every single opportunity.
