Never in doubt for Nadal, even with the poor ratio of break point conversion.

Nadal def. Kiefer 7-6(5), 6-0, 6-3

the first set was alright but once rafa got the tie-break he was unstoppable even though kiefer was fighting. nadal seemed to like the surface, didn't have any problems with the speed, served alright and was overall pretty flawless.

kinda what i expected, unfortunately.

Nadal 1/13 on bps to start the match.

I wouldn't say that. the first set was pretty close and if kiefer had won it, we never know what could have happened.

But in the second and third set, Nadal just had the total control of the thing, since kiefer totally colapsed.

65 UF isn't going to win you many matches unless your oppenent is doing the same thing.

I thought Kiwi would have the weopens to hurt Nadal, but clearly Nadal can deal with this indoor surface no problem.

1st set was too long (88 minutes), Rafa had so many break chances and couldn't convert.
But well done, Rafa, for wrapping it up in straight sets! :yeah:

Couldn't watch this one, unfortunately.

Raf's BP conversion...
But congrats with the win, of course.

Nadal's breakpoint conversion is interesting, but thinking more about it, he doesn't really LOSE matches because of his low breakpoint conversion. Weird.

Federer hasn't lost a DC singles match in 5 years.
