It's not fair to call him a choker. He did choke, but that shouldn't be the takeaway from this match. He played extraordinarily well at times and should be congratulated for being in a position to take it 5.

when the attacker is so error prone vs Nadal, there's only one winner...the defender was better again, but for how long will it still work, defence style, for Rafa?

Del Potro proved that when he plays well, he can give even Nadal a tough time on clay. The problem was he choked and was inconsistent during crucial times :lol: He could have won the 2nd and 4th sets too...

and Nadal with his dramatic clay angels (as opposed to snow angels) he makes after winning...:zzz:

Poor Del Potro, he left everything on the court, but as he lost the 2nd set it was never in doubt, even if he had won the 4th set, would have probably lost the 5th 2-6, two 5-setters against Pics and Rafa within a weekend is too much for everyone.

I was insulting him for not seizing the momentum against Ferru, and he messed up on some important points here. Would have loved the drama of a decider with Nalby. But fuck, the guy fought like crazy in both matches. Got to feel bad for the guy, he left it all out there on a tough surface against two of the toughest players in the sport.

Great drama. Don't understand these clowns who want to change the Davis Cup. This is one of the few matches I've seen in months, finally some fucking drama and atmosphere.
