WTF happened with the 3rd set? :smash:

Was impressed with the Brits' level in the 2nd set, but the writing was on the wall from the start. Kudos to them for fighting (well, at least up to the rain break ).

A professional display from the Argies this weekend. They could have got complacent, and messed around a little, but they appeared to give us an acceptable level of respect, which was good of them. Good luck to them for the rest of the event.

David can back to Cordoba have some empanadas and watch the Swedish rally.

Hope Jamie and the guys sample some of the Buenos Aires nightlife.

Well 1 good set out of 9 sounds about right - just a shame we couldn't snatch that tiebreak on one of the 3 set points we had.

The Argentine players all played well enough to win this weekend, conducted themselves professionally, even the crowd rarely roused themselves into antipathy - it wasn't worth the effort when the victory was very rarely under any kind of threat.

Ditto.

They came.

They saw.

They got their asses soundly spanked.

All as expected.

Nothing to see here, back to regularly scheduled action.

We have not been very lucky with our world group draws. Austria or Korea would have been lovely.

Unless Nalbandian really needed the extra practice, I don't see why he played this match instead of Prieto.
the people prefer to see Nalbandian than Prieto playing

I gather David requested to play doubles.

I got the feeling he wanted to send it home 9 sets out of 9 to win this tie and he (just about) pulled it off.

He was making a point to the visitors - although our lot were so piteous I don't think the crowds could even be bothered to really get up much anti-British heckling going.
