davis cup is next weekend. spain plays france at home and on clay while argentina travels to serbia.

i hear the great david nalbandian is planning to do some damage in serbia. d-pot also figures to be a factor.

the floor is at your disposal. lets get this party started.

davis cup battles are just 5 days away now.

I'll hope Del Potro regains some fitness. I was turned off by his fitness in the Simon match.

Nadal vs. Tsonga would be interesting if Nadal were to elect to stay and perform.

SRB-ARG should be tasty if Nalby plays well.

Djoker easily toasts Pony and probably Nalby too so it's down to Tipsarevic or the doubles team to get the third rubber.

I am very excited for Canada-Israel.
same here.

what about argentina vs serbia?

you know nole is going to be somewhat fatigued and may risk injury if he plays.

i think argentina has a real chance.

the french team is in trouble. spain has them on clay this time.

I hope Argentina wins it all, Fat Dave deserves to have a Davis Cup before he retires, it has been his dream his entire career.

Spain will likely thrash France at home on clay to get revenge for their 5-0 thrashing last year. I expect Nadal to withdraw at the last minute.

but don't you think Nadal will be somewhat tired? He'll have to travel back to Spain and deal with possible jet lag. He'll also have to quickly adjust to another surface. (And I knew he is the king of clay) but it's still exhausting! And I feel the same for Novak too.

nadal is already made himself available. he also remembers what happened to his team against france last year when he was not there.

win or lose tomorrow, i am betting that he is there to represent spain this coming friday. with tsonga and simon healthy and playing well, i dont think spain can win this tie without the clay warrior.

big mistake. both d-pot and nalFAtian are capable of winning on fast courts. matches will be shorter.

they may be good for 2 points and that means it runs too close for comfort for serbia.

Argentina will have their chances in Serbia especially if Djokovic doesn`t play on first day. After the Us Open it wouldn`t surprise me if Djokovic only plays on third day.And i expect a 2-1 lead for Argentina going into the last day if that`s the case and Djokovic getting the match to 2 all and it all comes down to the 5th rubber.

Highly unlikely that Djoko will play on the first day against Argentina. I don't think that Troicki and Janko can keep it competitive until the day 3.

If Nadal wins USO, he should pull out and let the other peasants take care of DC. He already carried them enough.

Would Argentina consider Nalbandian ahead of Monaco based on their respective current form? Yes, Dave is a Davis Cup warrior, but if he lacks the form and fitness then that would negate the passion he'd bring to his match(es).

Regardless of whether Nole plays Friday or not, the Serbs should still get the job done imo.

Spain are also expected to comfortably beat France. Imo the French need to remove one of their singles players (maybe Simon) and make way for a doubles specialist (probably Llodra). It looks like they are considering that anyway (Benneteau is currently the other reserve), but they really need to win that doubles rubber on Saturday.

Regardless of the quality of these ties, it is quite incredible to see how strong each of these nations is. They are super-heavyweight, and make even the likes of the USA (which is a decent team) look pretty weak.

The World Group qualifying and selected zonal ties are of more interest imo.

Hope Janko and Nole recover for this, never placed too much trust in Viktor anyway.
Can't wait to see Argentina live, should be a riot. Love DelPo and Nalby. :)
