It surely had to do with the darts that Chase The Sun was selected for the BSG?watched the last 3 sets

Anderson won about 10 ranking events in total with the BDO and 3 majors closer to the end of his time there. He's always been motivated by money and moving to the PDC will obviously bring more opportunity to earn far more money. That probably plays a significant factor. When I saw his scoring power 4-5 years ago for the first time, I was surprised to see that he did absolutely nothing in his BDO years from 2002-2009 (5 first round losses).
now that i think of it it is very likelyIt surely had to do with the darts that Chase The Sun was selected for the BSG?
Good call. I've watched a little, but disappointing that Ted's not in. Shame they haven't got wildcards, Ted could probably go years without picking up a dart and still be better than a large number of people in that Lakeside bracket. BDO is at a real low point now. Years back people used to slag it off but there were loads of good players. Not so much now.As for the BDO - No Hankey, no care. The only player worth watching on that side.
Agree with most of the stuff you're saying except the reference to last year. Anderson wasn't in a good place well before that match took place. He was barely making quarter-finals of tour events, averaging in the 80's regularly. Hadn't played well since 2011. He had said plenty of times he wasn't enjoying his darts and he wasn't practicing. I don't think it had much to do with having a killer instinct. The only reason he performed so well in that match was because he was absolutely pumped for it. He was furious afterwards and to see Van Gerwen win the title was sickening. As I said, he's motivated by money. After a great 2011, the hunger was waning and it's good he has it back. For how long, no one knows.Wow, didn't expect darts talk on MTF of all places!
Anderson was always very talented but with a soft side, it was on display last year against van Gerwen when he lost from 3-1 up, and countless times over the years. He's clearly a new man mentally though, to beat Taylor over that long format in a WC final is immense, especially with a horrible board that was killing him. I despise Taylor and would've been gutted if Gary had lost this 7-6 (especially after Huybrechts and van der Voort should've beaten Taylor in earlier rounds). Gary's always been a nice guy but you can tell there's a harder edge to him now, he talks like a winner in interviews.
