Dan's back in form . Reached 5 futures finals this year winning his last 3 and losing the others . Beat Albani Olivetti 6-3 ' 6-3 to win a 15k in Ireland and has just backed it up winning another 15k in Nottingham . Got a bit lucky with Pauffley retiring after Cox won the first set 6-2 . And then won the final against Ashley Hewitt 6-4 , 3-6, 6-1 . That's a lot of points . Should be well back up the rankings .

Basically the same kind of run as he had 3 years ago. Hopefully he will start next year well . He is set to lose a 15 k final in his breakdown but I believe he is playing in that this week so I hope he doesn't drop too many points, if any

If he played Futures in Spain ' Italy ' The US ' or France he wouldn't be getting these titles . I think he can grab a few first round wins at Challenger thought . The draws can be varied and their are a awful lot of Challengers with fillers in the draw ( high standard futures players like Cox ) although I do believe his run is more based on hard work than his natural talent . I am not trying to bash cox thought . I would love him to be able to win futures anywhere . If he could do that thought he would be playing Challengers instead .

In his first Challenger QF in Rimouski . Up to a career high ranking of 243 . A bit disappointed that he is playing two 10ks after this in Bahrain and Quatar . Should be number 1 seed for one and number 2 seed for the other .

I'm guessing it was long pre-planned, and he was banking on some cheap points to guarantee top 250 for Wimbledon (also he was defending 12 points from last years Qatar trip). Of course winning a couple of rounds in Canada meant that 250 is locked up now, so I don't expect him to play any futures after this for a while yet.
