:banana: Stebe played a very good match while Machado... well he just isn't that consistent on HC and I still think the result yesterday has more to do with Sela being horrendous than Machado being outstanding.
Now we'll probably see a German semi, Stebe vs Beck.

Machado has never struck me as being particularly intelligent and I don't think he had done the math here. As mentioned above, he needed another three games to qualify and instead of fighting, he tanked after missing breakpoints at 5-7 0-2. Pretty strong contender for mug of the year if you ask me.

And it's not like he didn't care about the tournament, he fought hard in his first two matches...:worship:

Supposedly he had to BEAT STEBE! Because at 2-1 it would have come down to head to head which means Stebe
