Commentators are more promoters than analysts. They want big tv ratings. So of course Courier says some ilogical things.

Fed will win in 3 eassy sets. Last fall when they played in the Davis Cup, Fed was comming from USO, had almost no time to adapt to the time change and surface, he also played dubles and still won quite eassy.

After Fed flew through half the Earth to play there having already played a doubles match plus a singles against Hewitt, all in 5 sets.

It seems these details are lost on most 'analysts' but Fed was really tired back then. That Djoko SF could not have been easy for him to swallow and he did say that whole Davis Cup tie was a blur for him.
