It happened in Hamburg during the semifinal in 2003. Coria had cramps, Gaudio says he was faking because he was chasing down every ball during the rallies. Gaudio lost the 3rd set 6-0 and was very upset. They had a "little dispute" in the locker room after the match.
There are other stories about the two of them, but this one is the most famous incident.

This is not all about the incident in Hamburg, there is a long-standing rivalry between them, they really hate each other. Coria got a lot of support from his country when he was young, Gaudio didn't. There were also some controversies in the Davis Cup (when Coria pulled out of the semi-final in Malaga). They don't even speak to each other.

before Hamburg it was another fight in Buenos Aires, during the AT&T Cup...too many ego, both of them...

was gaudio the one who pinned coria against the wall in hamburg? i heard that was luis horna...or both of them? i'm confused

I guess most of them don't like him because of the incidents like in this match against Gaudio in Hamburg. A lot of people can't stand his antics and his behaviour on court, the fact that he sometimes contests every decision with a whiny face...
Personally I don't care, but I understand why many people don't like it.

Yeah, they got a lot of attention, but the at least the Argentine press did recognize himjoyk said:
