I`m sorry to ask such a dumb question, but I`m a new tennis fan and I want to fill in the gaps.
Why did Coria and Gaudio fight?

It happened in Hamburg during the semifinal in 2003. Coria had cramps, Gaudio says he was faking because he was chasing down every ball during the rallies. Gaudio lost the 3rd set 6-0 and was very upset. They had a "little dispute" in the locker room after the match.
There are other stories about the two of them, but this one is the most famous incident.

Not really. ;)
This is not all about the incident in Hamburg, there is a long-standing rivalry between them, they really hate each other. Coria got a lot of support from his country when he was young, Gaudio didn't. There were also some controversies in the Davis Cup (when Coria pulled out of the semi-final in Malaga). They don't even speak to each other.

You should PM Rosie, really, she will be so glad to explain it to you.

I guess most of them don't like him because of the incidents like in this match against Gaudio in Hamburg. A lot of people can't stand his antics and his behaviour on court, the fact that he sometimes contests every decision with a whiny face...
Personally I don't care, but I understand why many people don't like it. ;)

And I always thought I was the only fan who did understand that! But I think it's kinda cute, I like it more than the way for example Hewitt, Nadal, Safin, Verkerk act on court. Tho Guille goes a bit far sometimes.

I like it when they behave badly on court,it makes the game interresting(I`m so sorry I didn`t see the Hewitt-Coria match).Isn`t it weird that even though Nalbandian was the hero, the two spoiled brats got all the attention?

Yeah, they got a lot of attention, but the at least the Argentine press did recognize him ;)
Guillermo was in Maradona tv show yesterday and Diego asked him about the Hewitt thing, and he said that he regrets what he did on court, but Hewitt was too much to take. He also said he did have to pay a fine, but Hewitt had to pay much more than him. And Maradona said something like, but then you were able shut him up with some tennis. And Guille said: Actually he shut me up, he beat me, but David was in charge of putting him on his place.
Guillermo was terribly nervous, he even said that he was more nervous than in Australia, he took a pic he took with Maradona when he was a kid and Diego signed it to him. Then they teamed up to play some football-tennis and they won. It was very nice to see :yeah:
