Ok let me get two things out there.

Hewitt, at 33, could easily routine the Tomic of today. Also Hewitt probably hates Tomic's guts. Because Tomic is the opposite of what Hewitt was at 21.

All of that aside though, in a "What If" world.

Would Hewitt make sense/be able to help Tomic if he was his coach?

Player-coach, yes, we've seen it in the past with Davis Cup captains as well

could he? maybe

should he? i dont think so. it doesnt seem to me like lleyton would be okay with tomic's lax work ethic. unless he could change him

why speculate on smth as impossible as that?

Would Gates and Jobs be trillionaires had they united?

Would Hitler and Stalin still rule the world had they united?

Would Rafa and Roger be BFs, would they be gay?

it's impossible to make a more useless thread tbh.

Sounds good in theory, even if Bernie's old mans ban at ATP events has been lifted.
Hewitt is still untested as a coach though, and keeps playing when he should start thinking about retirement (surely the Superannuation fund is enough now?).

Honestly, I don't think anyone in their right mind wants to deal with Tomic the tank engine and his insane father.

If he can teach him how to start the motorboat properly, I'm all for it

No way that would work even if Hewitt was interested in coaching anyone. He's good for occasionally putting Tomic down to earth, though, say by schooling him semi-retired.

Yes, Hewitt should coach Bernie man.
Also, Federer should retire and coach Dimitrov.

If federer and Hewitt retires, 2 more young players can get into the draws.
Good for tennis. Isn't it?
