Congrats to Kei for being the first male Japanese tennis player to reach the Top 10! During last year, he reached #11 but I thought that he was just OK for the most part, consistent but hasn't gotten to that next stop being that player who could really mettle with the tough guys. Now, starting AO, his match against Nadal has shown that he has some tricks out of his sleeve. Miami was interesting as he did reach the Semis, sadly withdrawing. Now, on Clay season, the biggest surprise -- he is turning to be a Clay threat, even though he wasn't better at it before! Won Barcelona quite good, and almost could've won his first Masters if not for his injury -- who knows if he could've hold up a Nadal comeback, but he has shown he has nothing to lose as seen on his match against Ferrer. His focus has been very good lately and is what needed in our sport which is great mental toughness. Sadly his body seems to be fragile so I hope they could find the great fitness plan for him. As we face RG, I hope he goes deep, at least a QF. He is playing well and I hope he keeps his good form throughout the year! :cheerleader:

Yes congrats Kei ... A long time coming but maybe worth the wait! Re: RG (assuming he is healthy), Kei will likely get #8 seed ( unless Milo's gets SF or better in Rome ) so anything less than QF will be disappointing. If he can get and stay fit (I know a very big if ) Kei can be a threat for the title (. Particularly now with Rafa and Nole's issues)

Kei's awesome!
This is an arduous and admirable feat, I'm really happy for everyone that supports him.
It is great that he is working with Chang as well.
