I've really enjoyed the last 2 weeks of the Commonwealth Games. More than I thought I would. I went to the track cycling on the first day of competition at Vodafone Arena... the atmosphere was just absolutely amazing! Australia won 2 gold medals in the men's and women's time trials and when the Australians were riding the roar around the arena was enough to make the hairs on your neck stand up. I didn't think that experience could be topped...

But then last Friday I went to the 2nd last day of athletics at the MCG. It was a FANTASTIC night and I got to see Asafa Powell in a relay heat so that was very cool. Also got a bit more of an appreciation for long distance running and the Kenyan's were just fantastic and usual... and I probably decided that the Kenyan anthem is my 2nd favourite behind Canada's.

I'm so happy I've had the chance to attend as for me it's a once in a lifetime experience and I wish I'd got to see more (I missed diving and gymnastics tickets in the ballot  )
