Daniel was down 3-5 final set and fights back..not enough..sad to see his strong form from Paris is gone..back to earth...

Good fight by Altmaier, but he really needs to start using his brain at some point. You can't just hit through a guy like Laaksonen who is pretty strong and can keep the ball in play easily. Altmaier will have to work on adding diversity to his game and learn when to go for it, when to play slice, etc. Thiem had to go through this in his earlier days and figured it out. I'm not sure Altmaier will.

This court is completely different from the slow clay courts in Paris. The ball bounce is strange as well.
Altmaier wins if this match is played on clay. Indoors, Henri is clearly the better player.
Laaksonen should have won this 36 63 63, but was poor mentally and really nervous.
Maybe because he desperately needs some success and this win probably means a lot to him. Good to see.

The level of play in set 3 was not good.
