I attended the first session of my British Literature class. To say it's overwhelming, is not saying enough. This professor has got us reading volumes and volumes of poetry and short stories from four time periods. His objective is to get students ready for grad school, an admirable one considering that many professors don't care whether their students pass or fail.

I think I'll do just fine in this class nonetheless. The format is such that students participate in a discussion board on Blackboard and have a class roundtable as well. I like his approach-much like that of my adolescent literature teacher.

They both are going to be instrumental in my success as a teacher, that I'm sure of. Like yesterday's ad. lit. class, I'm looking forward to more.
