Chucho is playing Falla in the 1st round and we all know Chucho is shit after a break, but hope he can get some matches before the AO.

Coopers is a local beer.

At least he plays in the evening session as the heat on court during the day in Adelaide has been severe. Stepanek said it was the hottest he had experienced anywhere in the world.

Would love to see him in the next round against most likely Hewitt. But yes after such a long break I have my doubts especially as Falla seemed to have picked up his game towards the back end of last season.

Chucho wins 6-3 7-6 and I am surprised he won this match, because usually after a big break he is pretty ordinary and not someone who hits their stride straight away.

He gets to play Hewitt at his home town, and Hewitt will want revenge for what happened in Buenos Aires.

hmmm I'll sit on the fence with this one. Hewitt probably needs to win this one more, Chucho can beat him should they play in Europe later in the season

Hewitt would have to go to Europe in the spring to play on clay.

Interesting match up as Chucho has the firepower to hit through Hewitt, but I think he needs more matches in the tank to be ready for Hewitt.

Chucho plays Mahut in the 1st round of the AO, not an easy match, but the surface isn't too quick.
