Have to admit I had already lost any hope with Alejandro.

Fought back from 1-4 in the TB.

W/UE count
Musetti: 37/23
Tabilo: 29/44

Weird to say this but Alejandro was more clutch when it mattered.

As for the week, he did play great tennis and overcame a lot of tricky opponents. coming from the qualies did help him too.

Q1: Te 64 64
QFR: Harris 76(4) 67(2) 76(2)
R1: Thompson 64 63
R2: (2)Darderi 64 63
QF: O'Connell 46 75 62
SF: (4)Nakashima 64 76(0)

Also nice revenge from last week's final in Guangzhou Challenger which he lost to JM Cerundolo.

"Soso" is generous. It was only a matter of time before he would get back to the Top 100, but I didn't expect him to win an ATP event this week.

Lorenzo really clowning in the breaker.

What a win for Tabilo who won only 5 ATP matches before in 2025. He was so so happy.

Tabilo saved two MP on serve at 5-6 as well, Musetti too passive on the second one and paid the price. Some great stuff from Tabilo to turn things around in the tiebreak, especially that dropshot + passing shot point was incredible. Absolutely served out of his mind as well the entire tournament

Mental game is such a key component in tennis. Proper demonstration of it today between Bublik and Musetti in almost identical situations (tough final with his opponent playing well).

Anyone who watched Tabilo can understand why he can be the main tour staple if he gets his form (and backhand) consistency up there. Lefty forehand and serve are massive weapons.

What the hell happened in that TB? I saw Musetti was 4-1 up when I had to return back to work and didn't see the rest. Was it more of a choke from Musetti or Tabilo playing great?

Tabilo = this guy. Idc who knows. Magnificent tennis at the end. Was that his 1st ATP title?
3rd, last season won 2 250s and 1 final
I like them both, but it seems crazy that Tabilo now has more titles than Musetti.
He is the 2nd lowest ranked player and one of only two qualifiers to win a title this year (the other being #507 Brooksby in Houston). Good to see him move back up the rankings - with this title run, he's moved up 40 places to #72 in the live rankings.

Just finished watching the match and I can't believe Tabilo could win more than 1 match, more so a tour level title, winning 7 matches in a row including qualies, while outclutching a Top 10 player (who just reached QF in the US Open) :eek2: . Tabilo was playing good like he was early last last year, good rally tolerance and good aggression. Musetti was playing solid but I agree could've been more aggressive with the FH. Musetti was VERY distraught in the trophy ceremony though probably feeling he didn't do much wrong (was 8 more points than Tabilo in the match, I think) yet losing another Final and against someone IMO who has been in horrible form on tour for this season.
